What is the ASAP Plan?
The ASAP Plan is a proactive safety program initiated by Little League International to promote a culture of safety within all Little League programs. Adopting this plan ensures our league is following best practices to protect our players, coaches, volunteers, and families.
Why is it required?
Every league chartered by Little League International must have an approved ASAP Plan to:
✅ Maintain a safe playing environment.
✅ Comply with insurance requirements.
✅ Be eligible for awards or grants offered by Little League International.
Benefits of Our ASAP Plan:
- Enhanced Safety Measures: From better field maintenance to updated equipment inspections, our league ensures a safer environment for everyone involved.
- Preparedness: Emergency procedures, like injury response and weather safety, are well-documented and known by all coaches and volunteers.
- Community Confidence: Parents can feel assured that player safety is always a top priority.
Highlights of Our Plan:
🔒 Background Checks for Volunteers: Ensuring all our volunteers meet safety standards.
🚑 Emergency Contacts and Protocols: Coaches and staff are trained to handle injuries and emergencies quickly and effectively.
⚡ Concussion Awareness: Guidelines to recognize and address head injuries.
🛠️ Field Maintenance: Regular field checks to remove hazards and maintain safe playing conditions.
