Bear Cub Softball, fondly known as Northam Softball, is our recreational program offering spring and fall seasons for PreK-6th grade girls. Focused on fundamentals, fun, and making new friends, it’s the perfect introduction to the game and a cornerstone of our community.

The program is divided into four age divisions:

The Cubs, Bears, and Golden Bears will see play with our partners, the Grandview Baseball and Softball Association.

Players will receive a jersey, pants, socks and belt.

Players will need to have a glove, bat, infield/defensive mask, and helmet w/facemask.

Note: Dick's Discount weekend for UASA will be the weekend of March 7th.

Bear Cub softball no longer takes friend requests. While never guaranteed, we learned last year - they set a false expectation for families. And specific to 'school based' teams - we initially shifted to school-based teams during COVID and will keep some of that approach to ensure kids see familiar faces on their teams. However, maintaining strictly school-based teams can be limiting for a number of reasons. While we aim to keep some level of familiarity, there will be some mixing as well. Making new friends has always been a big part of Bear Cub softball, and we’re really excited about returning to that this season!
