Bayshore Bucs Pop Warner Football and Cheer Weather Policy
The safety of our athletes, coaches, families, and spectators is our top priority.
Authority to Cancel or Postpone:
The Bayshore Bucs, in consultation with coaches, referees, and field staff, has the authority to cancel or postpone practices or games due to weather concerns.
Communication of Weather Updates:
- Decisions will be communicated via messaging app, text message, or social media no later than 1 hour before the start of an event.
- Families should ensure their contact information is up-to-date with team administrators.
Make-Up Games and Practices
The Board will work with coaches to reschedule games and practices missed due to weather whenever feasible. Scheduling is subject to field availability and league guidelines.
Parental Discretion
Parents or guardians have the final say in whether their child participates during certain weather conditions. If a parent feels it is unsafe for their child to attend due to weather, they are encouraged to communicate this with the coaching staff.
Emergency Situations
In the event of severe weather (e.g., tornadoes, hurricanes, or flooding), the Bayshore Bucs will follow all local emergency management directives and provide timely updates to families.
