Zero Tolerance Policy
Hanover  Little League Board of Directors has adopted a ZERO tolerance stance toward unacceptable behavior, and will deal with any such event in a swift and prudent manner. This policy will be in effect for practices, games, and other Little League functions that a board member, player, coach, manager, parent/guardian, volunteer, or spectator may attend.  The types of behavior this relates to, but is not limited to include:

  1. Physical violence on Hanover Little League property.

  2. Verbal threats, with the intent of provoking a physical confrontation.

  3. Verbal harassment or unsportsmanlike comments

  4. Sexual harassment or any form of discrimination

  5. The use of profanity, especially in the presence of children.

  6. Throwing of helmet, bat or any other equipment

  7. The use of alcohol or illegal drugs, or being under the influence of such.

  8. Any conduct that is deemed unacceptable to Hanover Little League.

Reporting a violation:  Hanover Little League Board of Directors will review violations that are submitted in writing.  No verbal complaints will be reviewed.  Complaints of violations will be reviewed at the next scheduled board meeting or at a special meeting at the discretion of the Board President.  

Consequences:  Consequences for violations of the above policy will be reviewed at a regular or special Hanover Little League Board Meeting.  Consequences can include, but are not limited to any of the following:

  1. A Verbal Warning

  2. Suspension for one or more games

  3. A Hearing with the Board of Directors
