Pennsylvania USA Wrestling requires all coaches working with its youth membership, whether in the practice room or at tournaments, to hold a current USA Wrestling Leader Card. Furthermore, PAUSAW urges all youth and high school coaches to participate in USA Wrestling's coaching certification series (Copper, Bronze, Silver and Gold, Teal) to enhance their development and provide a better foundation for training athletes in the areas of technique, match tactics, nutrition, strength and cardiovascular training, and wrestling philosophy. PAUSA also encourages coaches to utilize the USA Wrestling Core Curriculum Series, an expansive and detailed resource for freestyle, Greco-Roman, and folkstyle coaches.
