PLEASE DO NOT PUT THIS OFF UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE! This is a lengthy process and you
may have questions. I may or may not have answers for you. If I have to contact the Director
of Tri-County, it could take a couple of days to get your questions answered.

You all have your teams registered and we will be working with Tri-County on a schedule. There is a lot that still needs to
be completed asap. You will hit snags along the way, so please get a jump start on this. I would suggest breaking this
into a couple of different nights. In one sit down, this could take 2-3 hours.

ACE/ Background Checks/ Heads Up Coaches/ SafeSport/ Softball Roster:
These are the next 5 items you will need to get taken care of. I do recommend reading the first page before jumping
right in, though. If the links on this page do not work, just copy and paste them into your browser.

  the SafeSport site please be sure to select USA Softball from the Organization list in
  order for USA Softball to be notified by SafeSport of your completion status.

1. ACE- https://mnsoftball.com/pages/cms/ace
   This needs to be completed by the head coach only. If you are a head coach, and you will miss tournament
   games, then you should have your assistant do it as well. This will cost you $38.00 and it includes the cost of
   the background checks. Please keep your receipt from this. Bring it to the office and we will reimburse you.
   
   
2. Background Checks- Head coaches must do this because it is part of the ACE certification process and the fee is
   already included in the 38.00 ACE fee. Asst. coaches ALL must do a Background Check through Centennial Lakes
   Little League. Do not do this on MN Softball.
   
   
3. Heads Up Coaches- https://mnsoftball.com/pages/cms/concussion
   This is your concussion training. This needs to be completed every 3 years. If you are new to softball coaching
   then you must do it this year. If you did this and have not hit your 3-year expiration date, then you do not need
   to do it this season. ALWAYS CARRY A COPY OF THIS IN YOUR COACHES FOLDER. Print the
   certification out when you are done and keep it with you. We will accept Concussion Certificates from:

   Click on the SafeSport tab in the middle of the page.
   This is something that needs to be done Annually. Once completed, you will see a certificate for each section.
   PRINT IT OFF AND CARRY IN YOUR COACH FOLDER. I included the first process below. I copied and pasted
   from the website. There are so many things to read, and I recommend reading them all, but I also noticed that
   it repeats ACE and Background check information. As long as you have already completed this, DO NOT WASTE
   YOUR TIME READING THROUGH ALL OF THAT.
   
   
5. Rosters/Insurance- You do not need to do anything for Insurance or Rosters. We already have insurance for the
   league and it has already been submitted to Tom Bye. Rosters have all been entered on MN Softball.
