FARM LEAGUE FOR LEAGUE AGE 4

This is our youngest division for 4-year-olds (player age as of 08.31.25). This division is pure fun, instructional baseball – very basic fundamentals and techniques are taught.

A soft baseball (tennis ball) is used for safety. Players hit from a batting Tee. The players are taught how to throw and catch the baseball and how to run the bases. The first part of the session teaches skills and time permitting later in the season a one inning baseball game is played once we start hitting our stride with the kids. The focus is on fun, friendship and teamwork.

The players are split into 2 Saturday morning sessions and each session lasts 45 minutes.

8:00 AM – 8:45 AM or 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM at Garvey Park – You choose during registration.

All players will receive a hat and team shirt. Parental participation at Tee station is needed, however, anyone helping out/volunteering beyond working with your own child at the Tee station must be registered through the website so that the required background check can be completed.

If you want your child to have the same color shirt as a friend, please take that initiative when we distribute shirts. At this level, we can be more flexible and accommodating than any other division of play.

Equipment - sneakers are fine, a small inexpensive very flexible glove helps (but at age 4 we do a lot of catching with no glove)...dress for the weather.

BRING YOUR CAMERAS TO CATCH YOUR CHILD'S JOY-FILLED MOMENTS - of course there are always some tears, shyness, clinging to mom/dad - that is all part and parcel of what our dedicated volunteers are used to.
