Eligibility
Players older than 7, determined by the little league age calculator, must live within Chelsea
School District boundaries or attend Chelsea Schools.

• A new rule allows players ages 4–7 and their siblings to play in any league regardless of
school or residency. Therefore, they do not need residency or school verification.

• If your player, older than 7 years old, does not meet residency requirements, complete the
Residency Exception Form before registering. A CLL Board Member will contact you.

Residency / School Enrollment Document Uploads
Residency and School Enrollment Document uploads are NOT required for registration submission. This documentation will only be required for All Star players older than 7 years old, and only need to be collected one time during a player's entire Little League career. Three forms of proof of residency OR the school enrollment form must be uploaded to player's profile during the first week of All Star practices. 

* If you expect your player to try out for an All Star Team at the end of the season, it may be easier to collect the School Enrollment Form before the end of the school year.*

Medical Release Form 
The Medical Release Form should be provided on hard copy to your player's Head Coach at the first practice.

Age & Division
Players may only register for the division based on their date of birth.
Confirm eligibility using the 2026 Little League Age Charts.
Requests to play up or play down must be submitted using the Play Up / Play Down Request Form.

Clarification of the three lower divisions starting in Spring 2026:


Date of Birth Requirement
Players must be registered with their correct date of birth.
Incorrect DOBs will make a player ineligible for the 2026 season.
CLL reserves the right to verify birth certificates at evaluations.

Day of Play
Monday & Wednesday: Rookies & Majors
Tuesday & Thursday: TBall, Minors & Juniors

Hat & Jersey Sizes
Registration will ask you for your player's jersey size and hat size/head circumference in inches. Here are sizing charts to help you!
