The Challengers Spring Baseball/ Softball Program will begin in April and run through June on Saturdays at Schultze Field 10:30AM-11:30AM.

Softball Age Determination:
12u: 1/1/2013 – 12/31/2014
10u: 1/1/2015 – 12/31/2016
8u: 1/1/2017 – 12/31/2018
Ponytails: 1/1/19 - 12/31/2020 (coach pitch)
T-Ball: 1/1/2021-12/31/21 (co-ed)

Age determined based on Little League rules. 
Teams 14u or older can be formed IF there is enough interest (from players and coaches). We will open a waitlist registration to determine interest.

Evaluations for 8-12 year old's tentatively scheduled for Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March 29th. Details to follow.

2026 Spring Baseball

Majors (in house): 10-12 years old (boys, kid pitch)
Minors (in house): 8-9 years old (some 7s and some 10s*, boys, kid pitch)
Instructional (in house): 6-7 years old (boys, coach pitch)
T-Ball (in house): 4-5 years old (co-ed)

Age determined based on Little League rules (9/1 birth date cut off). 
*Division placement to be determined based off league evaluations.
13u-18u spring 'travel' teams can be formed IF there is enough interest (from players and coaches). We will open a separate waitlist registration to determine interest.

2026 Spring Lacrosse

Welcome to the Hillcrest Lacrosse Program! Registration is now open for the following programs:

Clinic Grades K-2 (coed) (no equipment needed)

Boys 3rd and 4th Grade Travel Team

Boys 5th and 6th Grade Travel Team

Boys 7th and 8th Grade Travel Team

Girls 3rd and 4th Grade Travel Team

Girls 5th and 6th Grade Travel Team

We will not be having a Girls 7th and 8th Grade Team for Spring 2026.  

Clinic participants do not need their own equipment. We will provide them with what is needed.

All players on any of the lacrosse teams will be required to supply their own equipment. Boys will need a helmet, stick, cup, padding, gloves, and mouthpiece. Girls will need a stick and goggles (or a girl's helmet if desired). Note that the boys and girls sticks are different.

All players for travel teams will be required to purchase their uniforms directly from the vendor. We will provide the site to do so in February. Players can use their uniforms from last year if so desired.  We encourage early registration to ensure timely delivery of uniforms!   

Practices are usually held Friday nights and Saturday mornings or afternoons at Tibbetts (depending on field availability), as well as Tuesday evenings at Roosevelt. The travel teams will start practicing around mid to end of March. The clinic will start in mid-April. We welcome multi-sport athletes! We look forward to working with your children and having a fun Spring 2026 lacrosse season.

Referee Training

- referee training March 28th at clubhouse 9am-3pm. 
- opportunity for youth age 12-17 (if 10 or 11, please email [email protected]) and adults
- ref in games at least two years older than the players, preferably more.
- referee games on Sunday in the spring and fall seasons.
- $40 for u18 referee (AYSO and in house games)
- $50 for over 18 referee (AYSO and in house games) 
-u14+ game should be 18+ and will be $60 per game (AYSO and in house games)
