Lighting / Weather Policy

If lightning is within 10 miles, the active alert will be on. After each lightning strike, there will be a 30 minute countdown before anyone can practice.

PLEASE DO NOT DROP YOUR CHILD OFF FOR PRACTICES OR GAMES. IN CASE INCLEMENT WEATHER ARISES AND YOU NEED TO TAKE YOUR CHILD HOME.

If there is lightning in the area, stay in your car to wait.
There is a light on top of our Pavilion:
If it is a YELLOW Light: STAY IN YOUR CAR!
If it is a RED Light: GO HOME!
If it is OFF: TAKE THE FIELD FOR PRACTICE!

If the lightning meter goes off during practice hours, athletes will report to the team locker room until either the all clear is given, or practice is cancelled. In the event that practice gets cancelled, you must come to the locker room to get your child. We are NOT permitted to release them to roam/leave free to the parking lot without a parent while under lightning alert.
