Michael Urraro & Eddie Buggs Sponsorship Program

The Michael Urraro & Eddie Buggs Sponsorship Program was created to honor the lasting legacy of Coach Michael Urraro and Player Eddie Buggs, whose dedication, leadership, and passion for youth football made a meaningful impact on Cape Youth Football Association and our community.

This program exists to ensure that every child has the opportunity to participate, regardless of financial circumstances. Through this sponsorship, CYFA helps families by covering registration fees so young athletes can experience the benefits of football and cheer including teamwork, discipline, confidence, and personal growth.

A limited number of sponsorships are awarded each season to families demonstrating financial need and a strong commitment to the program. Sponsorship recipients and families are expected to remain actively involved through volunteer service, fundraising participation, and adherence to program standards that promote character, sportsmanship, and academic responsibility.

By supporting athletes through this initiative, CYFA continues the mission of creating an inclusive environment where every child has the chance to learn, grow, and succeed both on and off the field.

Sponsorship Eligibility

Sponsorships are available to families who meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrated financial need

• Athlete commitment to practices and games

• Minimum 2.5 GPA requirement

• Positive character and sportsmanship

• Agreement to follow CYFA policies and expectations

Sponsorship availability is limited each season and awarded based on need and program funding.

Family Commitment

Families receiving sponsorship assistance agree to:

• Pay required uniform costs (payment plans available)

• Volunteer for at least one home game shift per game day

• Participate in a minimum of two fundraising efforts

• Support the values and mission of CYFA

This partnership helps keep the program sustainable for future athletes.
