Eric Cava Director of Coaching
Eric brings more than 14 years of coaching experience, working with players across all ages and levels of the game. A former player at Clemson University, he has built a coaching philosophy centered on continuous growth, attention to detail, and maximizing each player’s potential both on and off the field.
Eric is a USSF B Licensed coach who currently oversees the coaching staff for FC MOCO 1776 while also leading the club’s UPSL program. His extensive coaching background includes leadership roles with Bethesda, Potomac, Maryland ODP, and Gaithersburg High School, where he was recognized as the 2019 Maryland State Coach of the Year.
Known for his detail-oriented approach, Eric focuses on the technical, tactical, and mental aspects of player development, helping athletes strengthen the areas that are often overlooked but essential for long-term success. His goal is to build confident, intelligent players who are prepared to compete at a high level while continuing to grow as individuals.
