2026-27 VEX IQ Robotics Season (Varsity)

The highest tier Mind Spark experience, designed for students who are ready to perform at an elite competitive level with professional coaching and full resources.
 
What’s Included
  • Everything in the Competitive Team Model, plus:
  • Teams led and coached entirely by The Mind Spark professional coaches
  • No parent coaching involvement required
  • All robotics parts included, including premium & advanced components
  • Coaching in advanced build techniques, programming, and game strategy
  • Enhanced coaching support focused on in-season performance optimization
  • Structured, championship-level preparation and execution
 
Varsity Eligibility Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of VEX IQ experience (with The Mind Spark is preferred or another recognized robotics program may be considered)
  • Skills assessment and/or interview by the coaches required to ensure readiness for the Varsity-level pace and expectations
  • Demonstrated commitment, teamwork, and competitive mindset
  • Teams consist of 4-6 students; team roles are assigned by coaches based on student’s strengths/interest with no parent involvement permitted

  • Families seeking a fully coached, high-performance program
  • Families comfortable with a coach-led model and no influence in team operations, this is a must 
  • Builders, programmers, and drivers aiming for top-tier results

Signature Events:
Participation in Signature Events is optional but highly recommended as these high-level tournaments offer teams:
  • Exposure to top-tier competition
  • Valuable experience under championship-level pressure
  • Opportunities to improve skills and rankings
  • A chance to bond, travel, and grow as a team
While there is an additional cost associated with registration, team swags, decorations, robot transportation, travel, and lodging, we believe the experience is essential for our teams to reach their full potential and prepare for State and World Championships
