About CYSC

The Clay Youth Soccer Club provides a competitive soccer experience while keeping the main focus on player, coach, and parent development.  We strive to provide every club member with a valuable learning experience, as well as an opportunity to improve individual soccer skills and knowledge while continuously offering higher levels of training and a chance to be part of  a growing program.  Our focus is improving individual skills no matter the level of experience.  As a partner club with the Rene Muelensteen Academy, we "Encourage the will, and compliment the skill" (Rene Muelensteen) through well-structured training sessions and offering physical, tactical, technical development as well as team play.  CYSC promotes fair play, self confidence, community involvement, and education.

Our success will be measured by achieving our educational goals and not by win/loss records; all the while keeping our core values and philosophies on teaching the basic fundamentals and laws of the game.  CYSC will offer assistance in creating and maintaining player and college profiles.  The Clay Youth Soccer Club abides by all ISL, FIFA, and NSCAA rules and regulations as well as work in partnership with Northview High School and the Clay Community School Corporation.

Club History

Soccer in Clay County took its first big step when the YMCA started a soccer league offering in the late 1980s.  The game was added to Northview High School athletics in 1996, with both boys and girls varsity squads offered beginning in fall 1997.  The Clay Youth Soccer Club began as the North Clay Soccer Club in 1998 to support middle school aged soccer players.  The North Clay Soccer Club later became the Clay Youth Soccer Club, and competed both locally and in tournament play.  The club grew in size, and in 2013 CYSC joined the Indiana Soccer League  offering travel soccer for boys and girls ages 7-19.
