When do I need to register my child?
Spring Season: Registration opens December 1st of each year. No late registration will be accepted after February 20, 2023!
Fall Season: Registration will open early summer. Registration closes at the end of August.
How much does it cost to register?
The cost per age division is listed in the table below. Discounts are available for early registration and a sibling discount is available for families registering multiple children.
When does the season start and end?
Spring Season: Practices start in mid-March. Games will start in April and continue into mid-June. In some cases, playoffs will take the season to late June. There are no games scheduled over Memorial Day weekend.
Fall Season: Practices start in late-August and the season will start after Labor Day and continue to late-October/early-November.
Where are practices and games held?
Practices and home games are held in Honey Brook at James Umble Memorial Park and at Honey Brook Elementary Center. There are no away games for Tee Ball.
When are practices and games?
The team’s coach will communicate practice and game schedule after teams have been assigned.
Rookies division and above will have 2 scheduled games a week and 1+ practices a week. Games and practices frequency can vary depending on weather.
Tee Ball will have one practice on a weeknight and one game a week on Saturday mornings.
What age division does my child belong in?
Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken identifies a players "League Age" using a determination date of May 1st for Baseball.
Little League International identifies a players “League Age” using a determination date of January 1st for Softball.

When will I be notified of my child's team assignment?
Spring Season: Team assignments are announced early to mid-March.
Fall Season: Team assignments are announced somewhere between late-August and early September.
Does my child need to tryout?
No, there are no tryouts. The league does however conduct player evaluations in February prior to assigning teams. This is for the safety of the children and to ensure teams are evenly balanced. Evaluation details will be emailed to those registered for the season.
What and when are evaluations?
Prior to the start of spring ball, the league conducts evaluations (“Evals”) to ensure teams are evenly balanced. Evals will be held on February 18th & 25th, 2023. A schedule by age group will be posted as the date gets closer.
What equipment does my child need?
Your child should have their own cleats and a glove. Each team is equipped with a bat and helmets for your child to use. Many children choose to use their own bat and helmet.
What kind of bat should I purchase?
USA bats only up to Major 70. BBCOR and USA bats may be used for ages 13-18. NO USSSA BATS ARE ALLOWED!!
What can I do to help?
The league is always looking for volunteers to help. If you have any skills or ideas that you think can benefit the league, please email at: [email protected] or come out to a board meeting which are held the second Tuesday of each month. Times and locations are TBD and will be posted on our website under TVBA News as well as on our Facebook page.
Snack Stand - It is mandatory that ALL parents help with the snack stand throughout the season. Your child’s coach will communicate a schedule for snack stand coverage.
