2017Oct26 Arduino Club Activity

CSTAR BREAKING NEWS

CSTAR Arduino club meets most Sundays in fall and winter seasons of 2017/18. Club members learned basics about electrical engineering, robotic mechanisms and Arduino controlling fundamentals.  They will continue to work towards building a car model that is controlled by Arduino with bluetooth remote.

Arduino is open-source hardware. Most Arduino boards consist of an Atmel microcontroller with varying amounts of flash memory, pins, and features. The boards use single or double-row pins or female headers that facilitate connections for programming and incorporation into other circuits. These may connect with add-on modules termed shields. Multiple, and possibly stacked shields may be individually addressable.

This Arduino/ electrical engineering club will use Arduino board to control a generic car model that has two motorized wheels.   It will use Adafruit motor shield to supply power separately to motors so not to take/produce any noise from/to Arduino.    Finally it will add a blue tooth module on in order to be remotely taking signals from blue-tooth device i.e. mobile phone.   The flow of commanding signal will be:

blue tooth device---> blue tooth module---> arduino board ---> adafruit shield ---> motorized wheels

Boston CSTAR with all its volunteering parents will commit to bring more sports fun to Bostonians.
