Oxford Little League Player Recognition Awards
Oxford Little League has 3 individual awards based on appearance, character, conduct and sportsmanship. These awards are
- Steven Snyder Award presented annually to a twelve-year-old graduate of Major League.
- Steve Palermo Award presented annually to a sixteen-year-old graduate of Senior League.
- Daniel Clem Award presented annually to a AAA player of any age.
Qualifications: Awards presented to the individual who demonstrates outstanding sportsmanship, character, conduct and appearance throughout his/her Little League career.
Nomination Procedure: In June, at the tournament nomination meeting, the manager, two coaches and scorekeeper from each team will independently nominate his/her candidate for each award. The umpires will also nominate, as a group, one candidate for each award. Nominations must be in writing, and must include a brief written summary of the candidate’s qualifications.
Voting Procedure: At the July regular meeting, a ballot containing the names of the nominees will be presented by the Board of Directors to be voted on by the manager, two coaches and scorekeeper per team and the Umpire-in-Chief. In case of tie for first place, a second vote will be taken with the League President voting on the second ballot. There will be only one winner for each award.
