Code of Conduct

CODE OF CONDUCT

Player

  • All players will be dressed in proper uniform attire.
  • All players will respect coaches, referees and teammates.
  • All players will arrive no later then one half hour before game time to begin warm ups with team.
  • All players will arrive 10 minutes early for practice to stretch and be ready when practice begins.
  • All players will report any illness or injuries to a coach or assistant coach.
  • All players will put their best effort forward at all times.
  • All players will respect opponents, whether they have more or less ability than me and regardless of whether I win or lose.
  • All players will be modest and respectful when they win, and gracious when they lose.
  • All players will play by the rules at all times, and if they don’t understand a rule, will attempt to learn it so they can become a better player.
  • All players will not use language unbecoming of a youth player.
  • All players will be respectful and attentive during practices & games. Any chatting can be done after the event is over.
  • All players will commit to Practice Perfect Theory
  • All players will work for success not only in soccer but also school and all other pursuits.   
  • All players will act in accordance with Arizona FC code of Conduct when in uniform whether on the field or off the field.

Coaches

  • All coaches will respect themselves as well as players, parents, referees and opponents at all times.
  • All coaches will dress in proper attire to represent Arizona FC at all related functions.
  • All coaches will continue their education to further their coaching knowledge through courses, clinics, etc.
  • All coaches will arrive early enough to begin practices and games on time. (10 min/ practice) (1/2 hour/ games)
  • All coaches will realize they are coaching children and will act and coach accordingly.
  • All coaches will create a positive environment and will encourage players to work towards being a better player and person.
  • All coaches will show respect for the authority of the referee, even though you may sometimes disagree with his or her calls.
  • All coaches will realize that all players deserve to play in an environment that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol; and expect everyone to refrain from their use at all Arizona FC events..
  • All coaches will refrain from foul language at all Arizona FC events.
  • All coaches will act in a manner becoming of Arizona FC while wearing Arizona FC attire whether on or off the field.
  • All coaches will be the only voice to the referee during and after games. (Coaches will be responsible for assistant coaches, team managers, players & players parents/fans) 
  • All coaches will agree to the terms of the Arizona FC coaching contract.

Parents

  • All parents will respect themselves as well as players, parents, referees and opponents at all times.
  • All parents will refrain from coaching instruction during games or practices.
  • All parents are encouraged to cheer for their team and applaud good play from the opposing team.
  •  All parents will refrain from foul language at all Arizona FC events.
  •  All parents will realize that all players deserve to play in an environment that is free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol; and expect everyone to refrain from their use at all Arizona FC events.
  • All parents will make sure players arrive at proper times for practices and games. (See player code of conduct)
  • All parents will create a positive environment and will encourage players to work towards being a better player and person. (*this includes their own player before, during and after the games and practices)
  • All parents will report any injury or illness to the coach or proper staff of Arizona FC.
  • All parents will understand that their team is not the only ones playing in matches and will understand that parents or fans from the other team(s) will be attending as well and will conduct themselves in a professional manner while representing Arizona FC.
  • All parents will understand that recreational soccer and competitive / club soccer are two different levels of play and that club soccer is a much more physically demanding level of the sport. The level of play also involves much more contact between players as they play at the higher competitive level. Should you have any concerns please address your coach or the Arizona FC staff. Do not address the referee(s) during games as this may result in foul against your team or you being asked to leave the field of play.

  • All parents will understand that instigation of violence or injury to their player toward any other player will result in immediate removal of that parent and possible banishment from games and any club activities regardless if player follows through with said act.

  • All parents will be seated on opposite side of field from players unless told otherwise before game.
  • All parents should report any absences as soon as they know the player will miss.
