Colorado Springs Adult Soccer League (COSASL) is an adult-only league has been operating for over 50 years. Its mission is the enjoyment and promotion of soccer in the city of Colorado Springs. Here's how it works:
Seasons
We play two seasons during a year: Spring and Fall. The Spring and Fall seasons are divided into Men's and Women's divisions of varying competitiveness and skill level.
Fall and Spring seasons are an eight-game round-robin schedule with playoffs consisting of a semifinal and final for the top 4 teams in each division. We award names on a traveling trophy for each division champion.
Games
Games are played on full regulation fields, 11 v 11, with 2 or 3 referees and FIFA rules. Game length is 90 minutes, with two 45-minute halves and a 10 minute half-time.
Games are played on Sundays at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., or 4 p.m. During the Fall season, these times get adjusted back by one hour once Daylight Savings Time kicks in.
Teams
We generally have 25+ teams across four different divisions for the Fall and Spring seasons.
A Manager's Meeting occurs prior to the start of each season. Managers are required to attend or send a representative to understand any changes or board decisions about upcoming season. The board may offer a credit for attending the manager's meeting at its discretion.
