Eligibility

Registration is open to all boys ages 5-12 residing in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and surrounding areas. Your child must be 5-12 by July 31 of the current year. Birth certificates are required in order to sign up. If your child played with us last year, we can use the one you gave us at that time. If your child did not play last year we will need a new copy as we do not keep birth certificate copies for more than one season in the past.

Fee

The signup fee for football is $165.00 and includes:

*Helmet (The helmet will not be given to a player until their registration is paid in full and it must be returned at the end of the season.)

The parent/guardian will need to supply the following items:

· Shoulder pads (should fit snug against the chest area)

· Practice jersey

· Practice pants (must be padded football pants)

· Football cleats

· Mouthpiece

Player Placement

Coaches will evaluate all players for level placement. In some instances there are enough players in one age group to field additional teams at Double and/or Single level.

· Triple Level: Most experienced players

· Double Level: Experienced players

· Single Level: Least experienced players

· Triple level players are fielded first followed by Double level then Single level

Weight Limits

Players above the weight limit cannot advance the football (run or pass). However, they can recover a fumble, intercept a pass, or fall on a live ball. The ball will be marked at the spot.

C DIVISION: 7-8 years

Where do we practice and play our games?

We play most of our home games at Tomahawk Stadium on the campus of Riverdale High School. All games are on Saturday. Game times and opponents are determined by the TYFA. We practice on the Riverdale rugby field. We will practice Monday - Friday for the first two weeks however our normal practice schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30.

Do we practice and/or play in the rain? 

Yes. However, please communicate with your coach. If a rain delay occurs during a game please DO NOT leave the play site until directed by your coach. If the game is restarted and players have left, it may result in a forfeit for your team.
