Messiah University Softball Pitching/Hitting Clinic II 2024- (3 Week Session)

Clinic Description
We offer pitching instruction as well as hitting instruction. You can do both pitching and hitting or just one.
The Messiah University Falcons will once again be hosting the Falcon Pitching Clinic. Our clinic staff is excited to provide you with an opportunity to learn more about the sport of fast pitch softball!!!
Our goal is to teach you skills that will make you a better pitcher, but also to show you how to have fun doing it!
Space is limited so register early and reserve your spot!
Hitting Option:
Due to limited space - a limited number of hitters will be accepted into the hitting portion of the clinic - if you are pitching at 1:00pm - you must choose 2:00pm for hitting (vice versa).

3 week session Sunday afternoons January 21th, 28th, February 4th, 2024
Pitching:
1pm and 2pm for all levels.
Hitting:
1pm and 2pm Hitting sessions

Cost/Times:
Pitching sessions - 50 min. $75
Hitting sessions - 45 min. $75
Pitching and Hitting- $140 (discounted price for both)
Catchers - You must bring your own catcher - if you have no one to catch your daughter - catchers must be reserved by emailing Coach Weaver at [email protected] before coming. We have very few catchers and will be given out for $10 per session cost on a first come/first serve basis.
Pitching Skill level: (Choose one on the registration page) .....
Beginner
Designed for a pitcher who is either just beginning to pitch, or who has never had any fundamental instruction. They will learn the beginning mechanics of pitching
Intermediate I
Designed for a pitcher who has less than two years experience in both clinical instruction and game situations. Focus will be on mechanics and learning/ improving change-up.
Intermediate II
Designed for a pitcher who has more than 2 years experience in both clinical instruction and game situations. Each week, you will be able to select the pitch you would like to work on
Advanced
Designed for a pitcher who throws fundamentally sound. She has the ability to throw the ball 50 MPH and faster. We will concentrate on throwing all the different pitches and perfecting them.

Amy Weaver (Camp Director)
As Head Coach for Messiah College, Amy brings with her a long line of experience and tradition with the college over the last twenty years. Coach Weaver attended Messiah, graduating in 1991, she earned 1st Team MAC honors. Amy has also conducted other pitching clinics in PA and MD. She is four time MAC coach of the year and earned the NCAA East Region Coach of the year honors in 1999, 2011 as well as National Coaching staff of the year in 2009.
Messiah University Athletes
Messiah athletes have a long tradition of excellence. Currently four team members are All-Conference Honorees and two team members are NCAA Regional All-Americans.
Softball at Messiah:
The Messiah University Softball team has a winning tradition and a tradition of excellence. During the last 4 seasons the team record is 155-30 as well as winning 3 conference championships in a row, two regional championships and one National championship. The team holds itself to a high standard of excellence on and off the field.

Clinic Check-in
Please check in 15 minutes prior to the start time.

In case of emergency only - refunds will be given minus a $25 non-refundable registration fee.
