Cookeville Youth Football and Cheer is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization proudly serving our community for 30+ years. We provide a supervised program of competitive tackle football, flag football and cheerleading for the youth of Putnam County.

Our mission is to build a community faith-based football and cheer program that goes beyond the field, nurturing the next generation of children through discipline, training, self-awareness, and love. We are committed to fostering an environment where teamwork, support, and self-confidence are instilled in every participant. Through our program, we aim to cultivate not only athletes but also individuals who embody our values, serving as positive role models both on and off the field. Together, we strive to create a legacy that transcends the game, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of our participants and the community we serve.

Section 3. Objectives: The objective of the CYFC shall be to implant firmly in the youth of the community the ideals of sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger, and happier youths and will grow to be decent, healthy and trustworthy adults.  It is to advance physical and mental fitness, sportsmanship and citizenship by and through the general promotion of football and cheerleading as amateur sports.  CYFC will foster athletes’ development by promoting personal responsibility and good sportsmanship in a competitive environment. This shall be according to the laws of the United States of America.

To achieve this objective, CYFC will provide a supervised program of competitive youth tackle football/ flag football and cheerleading. Coaches, officers and volunteers shall emphasize the ideals mentioned in article one period section 3-A, with exceptional athletic skill or winning being secondary to these ideals. Positive, encouraging leadership will always be demonstrated by coaches, officers, parents, and other volunteers.To extend this opportunity to as many youths as possible, CYFC adopts the policy that children will be able to participate in its program regardless of their financial ability to do so. To achieve this objective, sponsors, donations and contributions are an integral part of the CYFC operating budget.
