St Paul's youth basketball program is committed to providing an enjoyable and educational basketball experience for all the players involved. The goal of St Paul's youth basketball is to afford every child in our parish community the opportunity to play basketball.

We strive to give the correct atmosphere and encouragement, so that all the children can learn and understand the fundamentals of the game. We emphasize a fun, but structured environment that allows our children the opportunity to succeed.

We give each child the opportunity to learn the life lessons that athletics can teach. These include fair play, good sportsmanship, and a strong work ethic. The athletes are encouraged to have fun, play hard and learn something every time they step on the basketball court. We encourage patience and tolerance among coaches and parents when developing the athletic skills of young players. Youth Basketball is just one component of the St Paul's comprehensive youth ministry program which enables the partnership of parents, priests, religious, teachers and adult leaders to manage and support a sports program that allows the youth of our parish to grow in their relationship with God and come to better understand themselves and the Catholic faith.

St. Paul's offers two youth basketball programs. St. Paul's Athletic League (SPAL), which is a recreational basketball program open to any boy or girl in grades 3 through 8. All SPAL games are played at St. Paul's on Friday or Saturday.   St. Paul's CYO is a competitive basketball program for which players must try out and our teams play games on Sundays against other CYO teams in Rockland County.
