ABOUT NORTH SHORE LITTLE LEAGUE

Founded in 1963 in Rocky Point, NY, North Shore Little League has been a cornerstone of youth baseball and softball on Long Island for more than six decades. Our mission is simple: give kids a safe, positive, and competitive place to learn the game, grow as athletes, and develop character that lasts well beyond their playing years.
North Shore Little League is proud to be one of the few Little League’s on Long Island that maintains its own fields—a responsibility we take seriously, and one we shoulder entirely through volunteer effort. From mowing the grass to chalking the lines, our fields are cared for by people who love this league just as much as the players who run on them.

Unlike many leagues, NSLL is operated 100% by a volunteer Board of Directors, who handle every part of the organization:
*Field maintenance
*Registration and team formation
*Scheduling and operations
*Equipment, uniforms, and safety
*Events, fundraising, and community outreach
Every inning played at North Shore Little League happens because a parent pitched in or a neighbor gave time.
Who We Serve
North Shore Little League offers programs that meet every young player where they are, from first swings to competitive play. Our divisions include:
*Tee Ball
*Pee-Wee (Coach Pitch)
*Farms (Machine Pitch)
*Baseball Minors & Majors
*Softball Minors & Majors
Each division is designed to build skills, confidence, and a love for the game—one level at a time.
NSLL offers seasons in the Spring, running from April to June, and in the Fall, spanning September and October. Please note that due to high demand in the Spring, there are residency requirements for participation. (Click HERE to see if you are within NSLL’s residence boundary.) There are no residency requirements for Fall Ball.
