Rutherford Little League Girls Softball was founded in 2010 and has since become one of the premier leagues in New Jersey.

We have programs for Girls ages 4 thru 14.

The Season opens on April 5th with the Annual Little League Parade and Opening Ceremonies and continues until Championship Saturday which will be held on June 7th this year.

We participate in Summer and Fall Softball programs and each year play in the Little League All Star Tournament for ages 9/10, 11/12 and Juniors 13/14

League Breakdown: Age & Fees

Fall Ball is designed to extend the season and develop skills for next spring. We offer two main programs based on age, each with a different focus and schedule. Here's a breakdown of the weekly commitment and registration fee for each group:

Rookie Ball (Ages 4-6)

  • • League Age: 4 through 6 (as of Dec 31, 2024)
  • • Sessions Per Week: 2 times (1 weeknight, 1 weekend)
  • • Focus: Basic skills (throwing, catching, batting, running) and basic game rules.
  • • Fee: $50 per player

Little League Age (Ages 7-14)

  • • League Age: 7 through 14
  • • Sessions Per Week: 3 times (2 weeknights, 1 weekend)
  • • Focus: Age-appropriate drills, advanced skills, and concepts. Intrasquad games.
  • • Fee: $75 per player

The Fall Ball Experience

Focus on fundamentals like throwing, catching, and batting, plus advanced concepts for older players.

Teamwork Focus

While there are no set teams, players practice and scrimmage in age-based groups to foster collaboration.

Intrasquad games will be held, with older girls potentially playing against other towns.
