Baseball Age Divisions
Development League - 3/4 yr olds (Co-Ed)
Games are played on the YELLOW field. This instructional league gives kids the opportunity to play baseball for the first time. Coaches and parents will interact with the kids to teach them
how to throw and catch a ball and swing a bat. Practices are on Sundays and all games will be Mon-Thurs.
T-ball - 5/6 yr olds
Games are played on the YELLOW field and the focus is learning the basics of baseball. Coaches will pitch 5 balls and then if a child does not hit the tee will be used. Teams typically bat the team each inning. Soft tee baseball is used. Games are two innings long.
7/8 League – Coach Pitch
Games are played on the GREEN Field. The focus of this league is continued improvement of fundamentals and for players to start learning basic baseball strategy. There is more competition but with the goal of having fun. Coaches will pitch to their team with outs and runs recorded. Players will play standard baseball positions with a fielding pitcher.
9/10 League – Kid Pitch
Games are played on the RED field. This division is much more competitive with kids now pitching. The focus of this league continues to be fundamentals but skills are enhanced. The field uses a 46/60 setup with base stealing allowed.
11/12 League - Kid Pitch
Games are played on the RED field. This division is highly competitive and gets players ready to play High School rules baseball. The focus of this league moves away from basic fundamentals to higher level and advanced skills some of which are position specific. The field uses a 50/70 setup and lead-offs allowed.
