Coaches and Umpires needed for the 2026 Season!

All those wishing to coach or participate in the season must click on this link and create a Sports Engine account. If you already have an account, simply sign in and update / confirm your information. All background checks and training will be completed through the Sports Engine web portal in conjunction with Babe Ruth League HQ.

This will allow us to track your membership, required coaches training, background checks and abuse prevention training. Background checks are required for anyone that will be on the field and/or interacting with our players. Once complete, a membership card will be emailed to you.

Background checks: All participants are required to complete a background check every 2 years.

Coaches: If you are a returning head coach or assistant coach from last season, please email the board with your intentions for this season as soon as possible.

CPR /First Aid: The league will be offering, at no cost to you, an AHA CPR/first aid course for all those interested. While this is not yet required to coach, it is highly recommended. If you are interested in receiving this training, please email the board with your interest before 3/1/2026. If you already hold a valid CPR card, please provide the league with a copy.

Instructions for Coaching Certification:

Go to BabeRuthleague.org and log in or create an account if you don’t have one.

-Click on: “Players, coaches and umpires” Tab

-Click on: “Coaching education”

-Click on: “Buy Course” then select: Coaching Youth Baseball the Babe Ruth League Way Online Course

-There is a $19.95 fee to receive the course content and test

Instructions for Umpire Certification:

Go to BabeRuthleague.org and log in or create an account if you don’t have one.

-Click on: “players, coaches and umpires” Tab

-Click on: “National Umpire Association” (NUA)

You will need to sign up for a Babe Ruth League account and register for NUA

There is a $65 payment to get certified as a baseball umpire (adults). Junior Umpires (teenage 13+) have an associated $35.00 fee.

Follow the instructions and take the certification exam.
