Babe Ruth Baseball Division (Ages 13-15)

Cal Ripken Baseball Divisions (Ages 4-12)

T-Ball

Ballplayers ages 4-6 learn hitting and fielding fundamentals in a supportive team environment. Young athletes hit the ball from a batting tee which is height-adjusted for a level swing, batting in order. The goal is to instruct young players in the fundamentals of baseball in a supportive team environment.

Parents may request that their player be on the team of a friend, but it is not guaranteed.

Rookie

This is a developmental league, designed for ballplayers ages 6-8. This division makes use of a pitching machine to allow for more hittable balls at the plate and more action in the field. Fear of actually being hit by a pitched ball is diminished. It makes the game safer and improves the playing confidence and ability of all participants. Fun and developing fundamentals are the primary objectives at this level.

Parents may request that their player be on the team of a friend, but it is not guaranteed.

Minors

Recommended for ballplayers ages 8-10. Players build and refine their fundamental skills while beginning to understand game strategy and teamwork. Rules are structured to develop baseball players skills and encourage competition, while having fun and building friendships. Players play multiple positions, although sometimes this is limited due to safety concerns. This division is played on a 46’ pitching rubber and 60’ base paths. For most players, this will be their first experience with post-season tournament competition.

Requests to play on a friends team are not granted at this level.

**All players trying out for the Minors division must go to evaluations for skills and safety assessment.

Majors

This division is recommended for ballplayers ages 10-12.  This division is played on a 50’ foot pitching rubber and 70’ foot base paths. This league offers age-appropriate competition. While teams strive to win, our primary focus remains on helping players grow, both in their baseball skills and as individuals, by fostering teamwork, dedication, and lasting friendships.

Requests to play on a friends team are not granted at this level.

**All players trying out for the Majors division must go to evaluations for skills and safety assessments.

**Minors and Majors Evaluations

All players age 9-12 must attend evaluations so teams can be formed appropriately. This date is broadcast about a month in advance.

Players who are looking to try and play up outside of their division (Rookie to Minors or Minors to Majors) should email the board ([email protected]) to ask about being evaluated to play in that division.
