Teeball is a timeless classic; the sport develops primary skills of hitting, running, fielding, and throwing. Tee ball players will gain an understanding of the fundamental rules of baseball and softball.  Qualifying age as of May 1.

These programs stress individual skill development and game understanding in a relaxed, recreational atmosphere. Coach-pitch consists of teams from the New River Valley area recreation departments to form a true baseball/softball league. Qualifying age as of May 1.

Teams will be associated with Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth or Diamond Youth Baseball. Qualifying age for Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth and Diamond Youth Baseball is May 1.

In late February/early March a tryout (date to be determined) will be held for our Select All-Star team. This team will be chartered in Babe Ruth Softball or Cal Ripken Baseball and will represent Floyd County in their respective tournament trails. All participants are encouraged to tryout, but the team will be limited to 12 participants. Any participant that does not make this team will participate with our regular season teams with an opportunity to try out for an All-Star team that will be affiliated with Diamond Youth Baseball/Softball.
