TOURNAMENT DATE: May 18
GAME DESCRIPTION:
1) A game consists of three (3) teams competing against each other.
2) Innings are 9 outs in length (each team gets to bat until 3 outs are recorded).
3) An “Infield Team” and an “Outfield Team” play defense, while the “Batting Team” hits.
4) All three teams rotate positions for one cycle (9 outs) to complete an inning.
5) The winning team is the team that scores the most runs.
TEAM DESCRIPTIONS & ROTATIONS
Infield Team = a five person team that plays Pitcher, 1B, 2B, 3B, and SS for three outs
Outfield Team = a five person team that plays Catcher & 4 outfield positions for three outs
Batting Team = a five person team that bats until three outs are recorded
BATTING-> OUTFIELD-> INFIELD
FORMAT ADVANTAGES:
1) The team only needs five players to compete in a game.
2) Players get more at bats than they would in a game of 10-person Slow-Pitch.
3) Although the format is unique, you still need to hit, catch, and throw to win games.
4) Each player gets to play two positions per inning.
5) The game encourages team cooperation, camaraderie, and sportsmanship.
