In existence since 1964, Ashland Little League continues to provide a positive life experience for the youth of the Greater Ashland Community. Many of you receiving this letter will have your baseball and softball roots in this very league. If not here in Ashland, you likely recall another Little League organization that had a positive impact on your life and understand what we are trying to provide for our youth here in Northern Hanover County.


It is our mission to create a positive playing and learning experience for our players. Ashland Little League is an all-volunteer league, chartered with Little League International, and operates as a 501c (3) non-profit organization supported solely on the participation of our parents, players, and community. We offer opportunities for the children to learn our great pastime and provide opportunities for children of all skill levels and abilities. We also operate a Challenger program, an adaptive program for children with disabilities. To meet our mission and continue to provide the best experiences, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support.


There are many necessary financial obligations to provide the platform that we do for our community. While a nominal fee is charged to families of players, the league relies on donations to operate the program to keep up with facility maintenance, uniforms, and equipment. These funds are raised from local community donations through local sponsorship. Sponsors receive recognition for their donation, dependent on the level of commitment, and receive a record for their donation for tax purposes. We need your help to make sure that we can provide the right environment and structure for our players to make memories to last a lifetime.
