Ashland Little League Families, 

I am honored to represent our 300+ current families, plus the thousands of past and future families of Ashland Little League.  Little League is a unique youth sport that draws neighborhood kids from throughout Western Hanover County together on the ballfield.  Ashland Little League, aligned with Little League International, believes in the power of youth baseball and softball to teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and communities.  My goal is to continue to provide a safe environment, where youth players develop skills, and have fun!  The special environment that the volunteer board and coaches create enables our growth.  Drawing on the experience and efforts of past Presidents and Board of Directors, we will continue to improve this special environment.  The three areas of focus  include skills development, fields/facilities,  and volunteer recruitment.  Ashland Little League already has a wonderful park that we call home, but we can continue to make it better.  Our players are consistently improving every day, but we can continue to do more to be competitive throughout D-5, the Commonwealth and Little League International.  And our all-volunteer board has put forth herculean efforts the past few years, but we need to develop the next generation of volunteer leaders.  Similar to many of the schools our children attend, parental involvement is the difference maker. 

Like many of you, I love watching the youth learn the game,  and had to get more involved!  I began my time at Ashland Little League in 2021 as an Assistant Coac atTee-Ball/Coach Pitch, and have since managed Coach Pitch and Machine Pitch teams for Baseball and Softball.  I started my time as President in 2022, and since have seen the return of Fall Ball and Softball, the improvement of the fields.  Along with the league double in size.  I  look forward to continue working with the numerous volunteers and guiding Ashland  Little League, alongside you, into 2024, which will mark our 60th year!  Go Ashland!
