"Kick into Spring" with Spring Soccer!!
Union County Youth Soccer Association is exited for the 2023 Spring Soccer season to begin. UCYSA is dedicated to offering developmental and competitive league soccer through the Union County United Soccer Club. Club soccer is geared towards players looking to take their game to the next level. This is a competitive league and tryouts will be held for the U13 and U15 leagues. Players in the U9 and U11 Divisions will not be required to participate in a tryout. The U9 and U11 divisions are developmental leagues designed to offer younger players a chance to develop their skills and knowledge of the game of soccer with experienced coaches.
Spring Soccer will begin on Monday, March 20, 2023 (weather permitting). Games are TBA. All divisions and leagues will be based upon the number of participants that register. Full refunds will be given to all players in divisions where there is not enough participants to form a team.
- U7 Coed Developmental
Union County Youth Soccer Association is offering players born in 2017 and 2018 an opportunity to further their soccer skills in this developmental league. There will be no travel required for this league as it is not a competitive division. This program is designed to introduce kids in the required age field to the game of soccer and help further their basic skills. The objective of small-sided games is to make sure that players are getting more touches and decisions with the ball. This also simplifies the decision making process by having less players on the field. We encourage our coaches to create fun, but learning environment where players can be creative and make mistakes that they can learn from.
- Game Length/Format: 4v4 games, 4–10 minute quarters
- Activity Priorities: Fun, Physical Movement, Time on the Ball, Engagement, Creativity
- Playing Time: Everyone plays at least 50% of each game with a goal of 75%
- Ball Size: Size 3 ball
- Coaching Philosophy: Player Centered, High Energy, Engaging, Asks Questions
- Style of Play: Soccer Decisions, Creativity, Experimental Coaches
- Toolkit Preferences: Positive Feedback, Guided Questions, Key Words

UCYSA competitive league soccer rules are sanctioned by Oregon Youth Soccer Association (OYSA). This league is designed to provide a higher skill level of training to benefit and enhance the development of players at this level.
- Game Length/Format: 9v9 games, Formal League Play, 2-30 Minute Halves
- Ball Size: Size 4 ball
- Intentional heading is prohibited in this division.

- Game Length/Format: 11v11 games, Formal League Play, 2-35Minute Halves
- Ball Size: Size 5 ball
