Mission Statement:
The Mission of the Waterset Oilers Youth Sports is to establish and maintain a positive, family oriented, learning environment where student athletes can flourish on and off the field. Our goals are to produce successful community oriented young men and women who know the value of sportsmanship, family, community, respect, honesty, and integrity.
Purpose:
The Waterset Oilers Youth Sports, Inc. purpose is to develop, promote and administer a supervised athletic program, specifically the game of youth football and cheerleading (boys and girls from 5-years to 15-years of age), for the youth of the community in which we support. Our organization will provide an atmosphere that is safe, conducive to the promotion of good sportsmanship, development of self-esteem, respect for others, encompass the spirit of competition, fair play, and team work regardless of race, color, or creed.
Objective:
The Objective of the Waterset Oilers Youth Sports Organization, Inc, hence forth the Organization is to inspire youth to practice the ideals of good health, citizenship, and character. To bring youth closer together through means of common interest and the love of the game, to teach children the fundamentals of sportsmanship, fair play, and teamwork.
Nonprofit Status:
Waterset Oilers Youth Sports Inc. is a nonprofit corporation and no part of the net earnings of the corporation shall go to the benefit or be distributed to its members, trustees, officers, or other private persons. Except that the corporation shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation for services rendered and to make payments and distributions in furtherance of the purpose set forth in the Constitution and By-Laws of the Waterset Oilers Youth Sports Inc.
The Waterset Oilers Youth Sports Inc. is organized as exclusively charitable and educational within the meaning of Section 501(C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 or the corresponding provisions of any future United States Internal Revenue Law.
Notwithstanding any other provisions of these Articles, this organization shall not carry on any activities not permitted to be carried on by an organization exempt from Federal Income Tax under Section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 or the corresponding provisions of any future United States Internal Revenue Law.
No part of the activities of the corporation shall be carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, or participating in, or intervening in (including the publication or distribution of statements), any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office.
