The program philosophy at Bristol Soccer Club is to teach and promote age-appropriate learning, achieve team goals and objectives, and to develop the player’s full potential through game-like training sessions. Our responsibility is to create a safe and fun environment which supports individual growth. The Club has adopted USA Soccer’s Play-Practice-Play methodology which gives the players what they need to read the game, make quick decisions, and create their own solutions.
For the trainers at Bristol Soccer Club, it is imperative to focus on proper player development both as a teammate and an individual. This focus expects players to maintain a high level of effort and energy within their team environment during training sessions, which then translates into a cohesive unit during competition. It is also important for players to have fun and making lifelong friendships with teammates.
Coach Chris has been involved with Bristol Soccer Club for the past seven seasons, first as a travel coach, and currently as both the Director of Training and the Referee Coordinator. His primary responsibility is to develop a streamlined training program to promote fun and age-appropriate development. Chris holds a USSF E and D coaching license.
Prior to joining BSC, Chris grew up in Rhode Island playing soccer in Premier, Regional and Olympic Development (ODP) programs as a teenager. A high school state champion, Chris played soccer at Franklin Pierce University. He continues to play semi-competitively in men's amateur leagues, winning three titles as part of ESPNFC.
