Albuquerque United Football Club began operations in the fall of 1988 with 8 teams, 7 boys and 1 girls’ team. Today the Club consists of over 30 teams between U9 – U19, along with our developmental program, the Youth Development Academy, from U5-U8. AUFC is recognized as one of the top clubs in the Western United States. How does the Club achieve such broad-based success? Through great commitment from players, parents, coaches, volunteers and a consistent, sound approach to player development.

Our mission at AUFC is to enable the development of Albuquerque’s youth by fostering a fun and exciting soccer environment that focuses on building life skills.

The vision of AUFC Timbers Thorns is to lead the growth and development of youth soccer that inspires a love for the game and delivers quality, age-appropriate player and team development through exceptional coaching in a values-based environment.
