Quick Styx Lacrosse PoliciesLightning PolicyIn keeping with USA Lacrosse's Lightning Policy. Quick Styx Lacrosse will suspend practice if lightning occurs within 5 miles of the practice location. Activities may resume 30 minutes after the last incidence of lightning within the designated range.
Participation PolicyPlayers are expected to attend at least 75% of their team's practices in order to facilitate skill- and team-building. Players are also expected to be at most or all of the team's games. We understand that conflicts arise, and we ask that parents are proactive in communicating with their coaches about availability.
In 12U and 14U, coaches have discretion to award starting positions and increased playing time to those players who are consistent in their attendance and effort in practices.
Refund PolicyQuick Styx Lacrosse will only refund registration fees in the case of a change of status of a player. Possible reasons for granting a refund include a change in the player's health, change of address outside of our boundaries, change in family status, or similar considerations.
The amount of refund will be determined as follows:
- On or before the first day of the spring lacrosse season (as determined by WSLA), 100% of the total registration fee less a $25 administrative fee.
- After the start of the season, no refunds will be granted except for a change in the player's health status (including season-ending injuries) or a move outside of our boundaries. If a refund is granted, the amount of the refund will be prorated based on the length of the season remaining and will in no event be more than 50% of the registration fee less a $25 administrative fee.
