MAJOR LEAGUE RULES
• Book shall be kept every game by home team
• Both coaches and umpire should know exact game time so they know when it ends. Scorekeeper should note in scorebook. No new inning should begin once official time has elapsed unless a tied game. A new inning begins when the last out of an inning is recorded
• All games will be double headers
• Game time is 75 minutes or 5 innings
• 50’ pitching distance & 70’ base path
• 5 runs per inning
• Dropped 3rd strike is in effect
• Coaches can bat up to 10 players in their lineup, play 9 in field
o Lineup must be given to other team
• Sliding into home is not mandatory - but cannot make intentional contact
• Infield fly rule is in play
• 2017 pitch rules apply
• If a pitcher leaves the game from the mound they cannot reenter as a pitcher
• Ten run rule in effect after 4 innings game is over
• If game is tied at the end of regulation, play 1 extra inning. Last batter from the prior inning starts on 2nd base and each team gets three outs
• Makeup games will be scheduled by League Leadership
• Substitute player rule: If a team is short of players a team may pick up another player from that age group. However that must be announced by each team if a player is picked up and Player must be positioned in outfield and bats last. 7 players are acceptable, 7 players or under are allowed to pick up players
• If team plays with 7 players there are no outs recorded for the missing player in the lineup
