West Orange Wildcats is a Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. league dedicated to developing strong, smart, responsible, and healthy young athletes by teaching leadership, teamwork, and discipline through youth sports. Pop Warner is the leading youth football, cheerleading and dance organization, with programs and participants across the United States. At every level, Pop Warner Football & Cheer seeks to develop well-rounded young athletes who learn the fundamentals of football or cheerleading, while emphasizing the importance of academic success.
For over 43 years, West Orange Pop Warner, a 100% volunteer, non-profit organization, has been the major feeder program for several schools in the West Orange county school district, including West Orange High School, and, in recent years, Windermere High School and Horizon High School. Many of the West Orange Youth Football & Cheer alumni have gone on to become very successful athletes at the high school, university and professional levels.
Mission of the Association
Our mission is to: (1) enable young people to benefit from participation in team sports and activities in a safe and structured environment where they can develop new skills, learn teamwork and sportsmanship, make friends, and have fun, and (2) to teach fundamental values, skills and knowledge that young people will use throughout their lives, all while emphasizing the importance of academic success.
