OVERVIEW

•  Co-ed division of first time players, ages 4 to 6.
• 7 to 10 players per team
•  1 practice/skill session per week
•  1 game per week
•  Instructional division (no scores or standings)
•  All players will be hitting off a batting “tee”
•  No keeping score or standings
•  Base paths are 40-45 feet

BATTING

• Every player gets up once per inning
• One base per play
• Batters remain on base.
•  No walks, bunting, leading, stealing, or tagging up
•  No on deck batters

FIELDING

• No players in the catcher position
• Rotate players so they play all the positions & try to alternate each inning.

PITCHING

• Half way through the season the coaches can pitch & catch to prepare for the next level. 
• If the player doesn’t get a hit after 5 pitches the batting-tee will be used.

NOTE FOR COACHES

• Please remember this is intramural baseball. 
• Sportsmanship and teaching fundamentals should always be encouraged. 
• During the Season, only authorized NFLL managers, coaches or personnel are permitted on the field during practices and games. 
• A parent or guardian must remain during all practices and games.
