Ages 8 to 10.
10 to 14 players per team
Players will be pitching and catching
6 inning games, with 2 hour time limit
Base paths are 60 feet
Pitching distance is 46 feet
Players must wear uniform including hat, shirt, pants, & heart guard (under shirt)
No on deck batters
Players can bunt and tag-up.
No head first sliding (one warning then recorded as an out)
No third strike, infield fly, or balks
9-10 players in the field
Every child must play the field for at least 9 outs.
Players must be rotated so the same players are not always sitting.
Players can not sit more than two innings in a row.
Players must be rotated to different positions throughout the season, within the players capabilities and safety.
Lineups should rotate each game. The same kids should not always bat at the top of the order, nor should they play the same positions every game.
Teams will be limited to scoring 6 runs per inning in the first 4 innings. Runs will not be limited in the 5th and 6th inning.
Mercy Rule: The game will end when one team is winning by 10 runs after 4 full innings of play.
Only one base on an overthrow, per play. A ball thrown out of play is automatically dead and play stops.
A Pitcher must be removed if they hit 2 batters in an inning; 3 per game.
A removed Pitcher can not pitch again in the same game.
There will be walks. (No intentional walks!)
Coaches are allowed 2 conferences per pitcher. The pitcher must be removed by the 3rd conference.
Any player who has played the position of catcher in four (4) or more innings in a game is not eligible to pitch on that calendar day.
A player who played the position of catcher for three (3) innings or less, moves to the pitcher position, and delivers 21 pitches or more in the same day, may not return to the catcher position on that calendar day.

Stealing is allowed, however, players can not steal home plate.
A runner may not score on a passed ball.
Only 3 steals (advances) per inning, a past ball advance counts as a steal.
There will be no leading, and runners may not go until the ball has passed the batter (one warning per team, then recorded as an out).
Runners must remain on the base if the pitcher is on the mound with the ball. (no continuation plays)
Once a team is 6 runs ahead stealing will not be permitted. Base runners then can only advance by a batted ball
Many players today have their own equipment; please check it over to see if it’s proper.
All bats must have a USA Approved Stamp.
All players must wear a heartguard/chest protector
All male players must wear cups
Both teams are responsible for setting up the fields and putting the equipment away.
Absolutely No arguing with umpires!
Absolutely no foul language will be tolerated by players, coaches or fans! An automatic ejection will result.
A Manager must call and receive time out from the umpire before entering the field of play.
An adult 1st & 3rd base coach is allowed.
One player base coach is permitted, but must wear a helmet.
No managers or coaches on the field during their teams defensive half inning.
Please remember this is intramural baseball.
The object is to have every player have fun and learn.
All kids should be given a chance to play all positions at least once, more unless there is a fear of injury.
Sportsmanship and teaching fundamentals should always be encouraged.
During the Season, only authorized NFLL managers, coaches or personnel are permitted on the field during practices and games.
Please clean up your dugouts after each game.
