Schedule: One night per week | 30 min Instruction + 75 min Game
Clinic Goals
Introduce basic softball concepts in a fun and engaging way.
Develop hand-eye coordination and gross motor skills.
Encourage participation, teamwork, and a positive environment.
Spark a lifelong interest in softball.
Clinic Structure
Sessions are 105 minutes long. The first 30 minutes focus on high-energy skill stations designed for short attention spans. This is followed by a 75-minute structured Coach Pitch game where the focus remains on participation and movement rather than strict skill execution.
Activities & Instruction
Warm-ups: Simple stretches and "follow the leader" movements.
Throwing & Catching: Using soft, age-appropriate balls. Focus on basic motions like "roll the ball" or "toss and catch."
Batting: Players will work on proper grip and swing mechanics using a tee before transitioning to hitting coach-pitched balls during the game.
Base Running: Simple drills like "Red Light, Green Light" to teach running from base to base.
Fielding: Introduction to picking up ground balls and throwing to a target or coach.
Equipment & Uniform
Provided: Team shirt and socks.
Required: Black softball pants, personal glove, and athletic shoes/sneakers.
Safety: All participants must wear a helmet when batting.
Coaching & Parent Involvement
The focus is on Fun, Fun, Fun! Coaches provide constant positive reinforcement. Parent participation is highly encouraged—we welcome you to assist with drills and cheer on the players!
