UA Golden Gloves Softball | 2025–2026

The UA Golden Gloves are community-based, competitive travel softball teams serving players at the 14U, 12U, 10U, 9U, and 8U levels for the 2025–2026 season. We compete hard, support one another, and represent Upper Arlington with pride - all while having so much fun along the way.

Tryouts & Season Overview

Tryouts are held in June or July for teams competing the following year, with practices beginning in August. A typical year-long season may include:

• Fall: Mannino’s Fall League and our annual Ghouls & Girls Tournament hosted in Upper Arlington (October)

• Winter: Hitting leagues at Mannino’s, along with performance training and turf time at The Armory Performance Training Institute

• Spring: Team practices ramp up as school-age players compete with their schools and all Golden Gloves teams are back on the dirt, putting in the work together

• Summer: Full team play in May, June, and July, including Mannino’s Spring Play, friendly games, and tournaments

Our athletes work hard - and they are growing stronger, faster, and more confident every day.

A Community Team, Built on Heart

At its core, the UA Golden Gloves is a community team built on fun and heart. These are some of the most important developmental years for young athletes, and we are intentional about creating an environment where players grow not only as softball players, but as teammates and leaders.

Along the way, the results speak for themselves - from national placements and tournament championships to multiple teams qualifying for postseason play. But what matters most to us is that our players love the game, love their teammates, and continue to grow.

Coaching with Heart

Our coaches are all heart. We care deeply for our players both on and off the field, focusing on the whole athlete - skill development, confidence, leadership, resilience, and teamwork.

We believe strongly in teams led by former players and female athletes whenever possible, and we are proud to have high school and college players involved as coaches and mentors. This blend of experience and relatability gives our younger athletes role models they can look up to, learn from, and aspire to become.

The UA Golden Gloves is a place where girls are supported, challenged, and celebrated - and where they’re becoming ballers in their own right.
