For the Girls.
For the Game.
For Upper Arlington.

It is the Upper Arlington Softball Association’s honor to announce Zach McManus as the new Vice President of The Upper Arlington Softball Association (UASA).
Zach’s love for the game, steady leadership, and commitment to the girls in our community have been evident for years - as a coach, mentor, parent, and volunteer. More importantly, Zach understands something that sits at the heart of this organization: to give our girls the very best opportunity to grow, compete, and climb the mountain, all parts of the softball experience must work together.
He cares deeply about all girls in Upper Arlington softball - from Bear Cub rec players taking their very first swings, to Golden Gloves athletes headed to Nationals, cheering on players competing on travel teams beyond our community, and supporting our school teams that are so proud to represent Upper Arlington.
Zach has a genuine passion for helping girls find confidence, opportunity, and joy through the game. He understands that every player’s path may look a little different, but every girl deserves encouragement, support, and people in her corner rooting for her success. His commitment to the girls of UASA is steady, authentic, and relentless - always asking how we can create better experiences, stronger connections, and more opportunities for the players in this community.
He believes development, confidence, opportunity, and love for the game are built through community, collaboration, and shared purpose - not division. That perspective matters, and it is one of the many reasons we are excited to welcome him into this leadership role.
And a very special thank you to Amy, Harper, and Taryn, who continue to share Zach with all of us. The countless hours, conversations, weekends at the ballpark, and heart poured into this community simply would not be possible without the love and support of family behind the scenes.
As we look ahead, it is equally important to pause and recognize those who helped build the foundation we stand on today.
First, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Tristan Bell for nearly a decade of leadership and service to UASA. Almost 10 years ago, Tristan and I stepped onto the board together as Bear Cub Directors. Over time, she became Vice President and one of the most trusted voices in this organization. While life may not allow her to be at the fields as often these days, her heart has never left this program. Her impact on our players, families, coaches, and community is immeasurable, and I am personally grateful for her friendship, partnership, and unwavering support through the years.
We would also like to sincerely thank Trevor Warner as he steps down from the UASA Board. Long before many of us stepped into leadership roles, Trevor and his family helped steer the incredible ship that is Bear Cub Softball. The years of time, care, and dedication they poured into this community helped shape opportunities for generations of girls in Upper Arlington. We are profoundly grateful for Trevor’s leadership, perspective, and service to the game.
Leadership transitions are a natural part of strong organizations, and one of the things that makes UASA special is the willingness of people to step forward, serve, and leave things better than they found them.
Thank you, Tristan and Trevor, for all you have given to this community.
And to Zach - Congratulations! Let's Go!!!!
