Become a Competition Cheerleader!

Practices
3 times weekly on weekdays, plus a weekend practice on your team's away game day.
Additional practices could be added throughout season with notice from your coaches. 
Practices 2 weeks before a competition are mandatory. This ensures all athletes are present to support their peers on the team in preparation for the upcoming competition.

Games
Competition Athletes will only cheer at home games. Games are on Saturday or Sunday (Schedule is released early August).

Showcase
Event held in October at YMS for friends and family to view all the team's routines! 

Competitions
Teams will compete at 4 competitions October-November. Attendance at competitions are mandatory. 

Nationals
The Pop Warner Nationals fee is determined by Pop Warner. The hotel is chosen by the YYTFC Cheer board. 
The entire Nationals fee for your athlete can be fundraised. Fundraisers will be shared by YYTFC Cheer. 
At least one adult is required to accompany your athlete to Nationals. 
Your flight, hotel, and entry fee is your responsibility.
All competition teams will bid for nationals. Where your athlete’s team places at the Regionals competition determines if they will go to Nationals or not. 
Travel expenses (flights/transportation, food) are not included in your athletes' National fee.
Your athletes' attendance is required if their team goes to Nationals. Please take this into consideration when registering.

RETURNING Competition Athletes: $625

You will OWN all of these items. Uniforms are used on a 2 year cycle, new uniforms will need to be purchased on even years. 

There will be a $250 non-refundable payment due at uniform fittings. This will cover all competition registration fees, professional routine music, awards jersey, end of season/Nationals gift and party. 

Nationals: If your athletes team qualifies for Nationals, you are responsible for funding the registration fee paid to Pop Warner. This payment is broken down into 3 payments and can be 100% fundraised. You are responsible for travel, hotel and food expenses.

Nationals Travel

One adult is required to attend Nationals with their athlete.  All athletes are required to stay at the same hotel. The hotel list comes from Pop Warner Nationals. The hotel is selected by the YYTFC Cheer board with family needs in mind, including distance to venues, overall cost, accessibility, and additional logistical factors. You are responsible for booking your hotel room and flights/driving. 

The Pop Warner Nationals fee  is determined by Pop Warner. Travel expenses (flights/transportation, food) are not included in your athletes' National package.

YYTFC Cheer breaks the Nationals fee into 3 installments. Each installment can be 100% fundraised on your own. 
May- Double Good Popcorn 
July- Nothing Bundt Cakes 
September- TBA

If you do not raise the amount needed for an installment, the remainder balance will need to be paid out of pocket.
If you raise over the amount needed for an installment, the overage will be applied to the next installment. If there is still an overage after your athletes Nationals fee is covered, that remainder will go towards the competition program as a whole. 

If in the event you need to withdraw from the program before September 1, any money paid out of pocket will be refunded. Any money fundraised will not be refunded.
