Become a YYTFC Cheer coach!

All coaches must submit an application. The cheer board will review and select coaches best for the teams. The selection of coaches is determined exclusively by the Board, and all decisions to approve or deny coaching candidates are final.
YYTFC Cheer Coach Application

No experience necessary! All coaches are required to successfully pass a background check and complete two required courses prior to the start of the season. The background check will be provided by YYTFC. The courses are through YCADA and Pop Warner Mid-America. Links will be provided.

Expectations

We hold our Cheer Coaches to a high standard and respect the time and energy you all put into this program and furthermore, the kids. Below are guidelines each coach must follow during the season. 

  • Communicate all information necessary to athletes families through email or GroupMe chat.
  • Maintain appropriate conduct given in coaching contract
  • Pass the required back ground check provided by YYTFC 
  • Submit certificates from completed courses
  • Create halftime and showcase routines
  • Be in attendance at all events for your team
  • Wear the required uniform provided
  • Be responsible for and maintain all equipment (mats, signs, pots, etc..)
