PAL PROGRAMS OVERVIEW

The Dundalk PAL Center offers unique programming to children ages 8 to 17 in a safe environment. Trained staff monitor and aid youth in making healthy choices and serve as positive role models. PAL Staff encourages all PAL members to participate in new programs that break their own norms, challenge themselves and help them achieve individual goals while making and maintaining healthy relationships.  Programs will include team participation as well as individual application that will allow the participants to be creative, disciplined, individual critical thinkers, display & build upon leadership skills and develop and/or enhance their sense of self-worth.  Some of the programs will include Athletic Activities, Life Skills, Crime Prevention/Gang Prevention, and Environmental Education & Character Education. These programs are designed to supply these youth with the tools necessary to handle everyday life situations. These programs will prove especially beneficial to our teenage population as many of them are in the most vulnerable stages of human matriculation, when they are susceptible to peer pressure and other negative outside influences.  Our goal is to ultimately create an atmosphere that is conducive of fun, but also fosters support.
