Can I still register my child?  How do I register my child?
Before you register your child, you must create an account of this website.  Once you have an account, click on the registration link in the upper right hand corner of the website.  You will be able to register for the appropriate age division.  If the age division is full, you will have the opportunity to add your child to the wait list.

What happens if my child is on the wait list?

The OPBA has limited capacity in each age division.  If your child is on the wait list, it means that the age division is at capacity.  Children are added to the league from the wait list only if another child drops out of the league.  

When does the season start?
The specific start date was included in your registration confirmation email.  The regular season typically begin on the last weekend of April.  

When does the season end?

The specific end date was included in your registration confirmation email.  The regular season typically ends the weekend before the 4th of July. Baseball ages 8U and older will hold single elimination playoffs after the 4th of July, concluding by the 3rd weekend of July.  

When are games played?
Games are played every weekend except for Memorial Day Weekend.  Baseball age divisions 10U and older will also have weeknight games.

When are practices?
Practice locations, dates, and times are held at the discretion of the coach.

My child has played in the OPBA in prior years, do I get registration priority?
Those families who have played in the league will receive an email when registration opens.  However, when registration opens, it opens for everyone.  It is important to get registered during the first day of open registration.

What is Blue Sombrero and why do they appear on my credit card statement?

Blue Sombrero is the online registration provider for OPBA.  The charge is for your OPBA registration fee.

Does OPBA offer scholarships?

Any child aged 4 to 14 who would like to participate in OPBA baseball or softball, but who otherwise would not be able to do so, due to financial hardship. For more information, please review the program overview.  If interested, please complete this application and forward to scholarship committee

What equipment is required for my child?

The only required equipment is a baseball or softball glove and a protective cup (for boys only).  Optional equipment includes bats, batting gloves, cleats, batting helmet, and other protective wear.  Each coach is provided an equipment bag that includes league issued bats, balls, helmets, and batting tees.  For additional equipment details and sizes, visit Rules of Play for your child's division.

My child need a new uniform jersey or hat.
OPBA will provide one complete uniform, and if your child loses an item, please contact John Collet at Mike's Sporting Goods to purchase a new item.  

Does OPBA have a Lost & Found?
Please put your child’s name and your phone number on all of your child’s equipment.  This way if your child loses an item, the person who finds the item can call you.  This includes bats, gloves, hats, water bottles, etc.  The OPBA does not maintain a lost and found.  Therefore any item found without proper identification will be disposed of properly.
