EGSA is always in need of volunteer coaches for our teams. Your soccer or coaching experience (or lack thereof!) is much less important than your ability to work with young players with
kindness and
patience. We have professional coaches on hand to help with content and delivery - we just need good people who care about our kids and the
EGSA philosophy.
Here are the key characteristics that we look for in our coaches:
1) Patience with children
2) Enthusiasm and high energy
3) Commitment to players and EGSA's focus on player development and sportsmanship
4) Willingness to learn - a coach is always learning!
5) Humility, a sense of humor, and great sportsmanship
If you are interested in coaching, you must
REGISTER as a Coach in GotSoccer and request a background check. EGSA requires a background check before we can allow you to participate in practices or games with the players. In addition, if you are interesting coaching an EGSA competitive team, then you must complete this
APPLICATION. Competitive coaches are selected by the EGSA competitive committee.
