SBYFCA has decided for the safety of our kids and to help reduce injuries, we are going to be requiring helmets for our NFL Winter Flag Program and future NFL Flag Programs. After a thought out process and researching other leagues in the NFL Flag Program, we feel this is a necessary step in providing a safe environment to help develop our athletes. We have partnered with Gamebreaker Helmets and their helmets will be available through our team store.


Flag Football

The next season for NFL Flag is Winter 2021. Registration IS NOW OPEN.

This season will run January-Feb with an assessment and draft Mid December TBA. It is a co-ed league for players of all skill levels aged 5-17 years. The age of your player on August 1, 2021 will be their league age. 

TENTATIVELY, all games will be played at Zac Sealy Field (Library Field) on Saturday Mornings Mid January. The season will end in a playoff resulting in a Super Bowl for each division.

GameBreaker manufactures the Adidas Force headgear and the Shock-doctor headgear as well.


- Registration fees are $100 per player which includes a jersey and a set flags for games and practice. Players will need a mouthpiece and black shorts or pants WITHOUT pockets. Cleats are suggested but not required, no metal spikes are allowed.

- Assessments will be held sometime in early January. The exact date will be dependent on your player’s division.

- A Coaches Meeting December 5th Location TBA.

Locations and times of practices are team dependent and the Head Coach will notify their team with practice and game schedules.
